Welcome to Bull Shoals and the world famous White River and some of the best bow hunting, bass, walleye and trout fishing in the world! Less than 50 years ago, the White, North Fork and Little Red rivers didnt contain a trout. But when the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers built five dams in the White River Basin, 168 miles of trout water were created. The extensive list of record-breaking catches from these Ozark tailwaters now includes two world record brown trout.
Bull Shoals is bordered on three sides by a clear, deep reservoir of the same name, Bull Shoals Lake.
Bull Shoals was first developed by C.S. Woods and C.S. Woods Jr. Bull Shoals Dam and the town of Bull Shoals developed together.
Construction of the dam took four years, between 1947 and 1951, resulting in one of the largest dams built in the nation at that time.
Bull Shoals Lake is the center of activity for the people of Bull Shoals and their many vacationers who visit each year. A popular vacation destination for boating in clean, clear waters, outstanding fishing, swimming, and camping are just a few of the reasons people love to visit Bull Shoals.
